I recently figured out that the gas lamp only works when it has a small gas canister. When it has anything else than a small gas canister, i.e. a medium or a large one, it does not light up your surroundings. It does, however, make the gas lamp white, but it doesn't effect the environment.

Take a gas lamp, add a medium or large gas canister.
If you take a small one, it will work.

Odd, for me the gas lamp worked when using the two slot gas canister (18. Dec).
Using a one slot gas canister, that didn't work for me (19. Dec).
Note: I have only tried using the gas lamp twice.

I have not tried with bigger gas canisters, but the small one works sometimes. Were playing earlier today and the lamp worked with a small canister, then I was offline for a while, when i got back in again it did not light up the area anymore, the lamp was glowing as before.

It works for me with either type of canister but only with "fresh" gas lamps (looted in the same session).
Once i log out and back in (no matter if different or same server) the lamp won't work anymore and the above problem occurs

Unfortunately, this problem regarding the gas lamps is a known issue that has previously been reported.
