It happened something similar to me. I heard a Zombie and getting attacked by this, but it was invisible!

BTW, i can't join any server right now...

I didn't hear any zombie, this had all the appearance to be another player

So we are playing as 5 people, 3 of them dodged somehow the DB wipe rocket announced, the other 2 are new players who bought it today..

We were trying to meet with half success!? the 3 of us could see all 5 players, but the 2 fresh spawns could not? they saw each other but none of the other 3..
we could drop them items, they could pick them up, we could beat them and jeah...

Is it possible that the DB wipe did not actualy kill everyone (maybe those who played at this time? of a faulty sql statement that did not check for the char to be alive when saving?) but caused a sort of 2 versions of players?

the 2 fresh spawns died and we tried to meet a second time -> same stuff happened again even on a different servers

i guess this might be the reason for those "invisible player hacks" posts

i checked the bugtracker but only found 1 reporter without any votes (hard to notice this if you play alone ofc)

PS: even voice and text chat seems to be split!?
PSS: when we join together a new server, they see the 3 of us spawning next to them, but not moving or doing anything at all
psss. when the fresh spawn beat our still standing mirrors we get damage and finaly die- which as conclusion means we can walk invisible around the map hiding our real character in a bush and killing people while they cant kill us :S

my friend and i went for miles north where all the towns were untouched (we went through 6 towns).
there was no loot (but the server was reset an hour before and the house doors were closed). No zombies in any of the towns.

We started getting attacked by invisible zombies in one of the towns.

As we approached a town near the military airfield for water, we were peppered with bullet sounds. we were constantly getting hit. Some blood evident but no Status indicating that you're bleeding. It was definitely people spraying bullets at us but we couldn't see them. My friend died and i ran away black and white.
