I encountered this as well in a different building. May be related to just logging off and loading back into buildings in general.

EDIT: This was happening at night time in half a dozen servers. I found another server that is in daytime and I could open doors just fine.

Turns out that if you ran the updated version of DayZ last night but the server wasn't on the same version then it wasn't allowing people to open doors.

I had the same issue last night no matter what server I joined.

The doors not opening is a sign of files mismatch. It happens when you connect to a server that is running a different version of the game than you are.

Either verify the integrity of your game's cache or make sure you are connecting to a server that is running the same version as you are.
