SEVERE ISSUE! The mouse cursor graphic is stucked and some menù/inventory options are missing
New, LowPublic

Description

When I am in the menù screen or the inventory i see the mouse cursor stucked in a place,

If i move the mouse the icon doesen't move from there, actually the controls (mouse plus keyboard) are ok but is like there is an invisibile cursor/arrow that shoud follow his graphic on the screen but it don't do that (i can use the cursor/arrow only guessing where it is).
The second problem is that some menù/inventory icons are invisible, like this:

I also have this problem.

On-screen cursor does not follow actual cursor movement.

Left-clicking seems to move the cursor to the point of clicking.

I also have this problem.

Found my way into a game by using keyboard controls and mouse works fine IN game, but still the same problem on menus when game is paused etc

THIS IS THE FIX THAT WORKED FOR ME:

" Change your text size in windows OS display settings from large to medium. That should fix it "

Thanks sebizcelestial, I'll add it to the information above and keep this open for now for people with the same issue just incase this doesn't resolve it for everyone.

Thanks for the advice but this don't do any good in my case, please fix it as soon as possibile! :(

Copy paste of duplicate bug report 0002090: Windows desktop interface scaling breaks mouse pointer in menus and inventory

Description Running DayZ on a Macbook Pro with retina display (using bootcamp tom run windows).

I usually run my macbook with very large amounts of UI scaling on windows (i.e. 200%) due to the very high native display resolution (2880x1800). However this breaks the mouse on the menu systems (and inventory) - the mouse pointer does not display unless I click (right or left click) which makes the mouse pointer appear; if I move the mouse it disappears.

Note that the UI menu can use a different resolution to what the windows desktop is currently using; perhaps such a mismatch is part of the problem.

If I return windows UI scaling: (right click on desktop->personalize->display->Change the Size of all items) to 100% the problem goes away.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Set Windows desktop UI scaling to something large (e.g 200%).
  2. Try to use mouse on menu screen (or inventory screen).

Additional Information

This seem to be a general bug with the Arma engine (based on Googling for it, not actually tried to reproduce on Arma games; e.g http://steamcommunity.com/app/107410/discussions/0/864961722064628960/ [^] http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=246 [^] )

I've changed this option just now and the game works perfectly, thanks a lot!! :D

I also have this bug

Hardware: Dell XPS15, windows 8, i7, 760M, touchscreen

Symptoms: Mouse pointer not visible during game at all, if I alt-tab to desktop or shift-tab to steam-UI I immediately see the cursor, but when returning to DayZ it disappears again.

Attempted fixes: Ran DayZ and steam in Windows 7 compatibility mode, changed text size, tried alt-tabing and remaximizing

Steps To Reproduce: Start DayZ

Just as an elaboration in to my previous post (http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=804#c4450)

When I start DayZ I cannot see any mouse cursor/pointer at all, period. If it wasn't for the touchscreen monitor on my laptop it would be unplayable.

Cheers

Just wanted to say that a friend had this issue, his text size in Windows 7 was set to Large. He changed it to 100% default normal, he had to log out of Windows, and when he came back in to Day Z his mouse was showing up and working correctly.

Same problem for me. Pain to change windows UI scaling every time and then back again to see other programs. Windows 7 64 bit. Standard UI scaling @ 150%.
