I have gotten this issue several times myself (4-5 times). The door open symbol even shows that the door opens, but the door itself doesnt move.

I have as well. I thought I may have been opening a different door through the wall or something but I don't think that is the case.

I am pretty sure the icon comes up because there actually a door on the ground level opening and closing.. I've only found this bug on the second floor..

You will also get this when opening a door behind you, or around a corner. The icon is displaying for a door other than the one you are looking at and that door is indeed opening and closing.
