I also have an AMD radeon, and the whole city for me is flashing up like a rave party, pink and everything. Must be AMD.

Thanks a lot. If you need anymore data let us know. :)

Solution found, Update your drivers. The game runs beautiful.

Solution not found for me, drivers are up to date apparently.

My drivers are up to date as well. Will upload requested files now

Just a heads up but catalyst control center was updated back in september and that contains the display drivers for the amd 7xxx series, so i am going to update and report back. Might make a youtube video in order to walk through this problem if i fix it.

Here to report that updating drivers via catalyst fixed the issue (for Radeon 7700)

Same thing with a Radion 7870.

  • I have a PCI1 motherboard as well. I never had issues with this in any other game though.

Tried to update drivers through catalyst but says they are up to date

So, the post made at 2013-12-17 01:24 was not made by me. Driver update did not fix the issue.

Updated drivers, issue solved.
Sill might be an idea to fix this problem for people who can't update drivers.

To update drivers I used this http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool

Going to the amd website and installing the new catalyst control center that was released on 9/13 has fixed my issue. After downloading my card series driver at http://support.amd.com/en-us/download , i installed everything that was contained and it updated my display drivers and i no longer get this bug.

Same issue for me. Radeon HD 7770. It says my drivers are up to date as well... Going to update CCC and check back.

My buddy had the same issue. He downloaded the tool mentioned by Craig (http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool) which also updated his Catalyst Control Center which fixed the issue. If it helps, he claims he updated his drivers a week ago, but he barely knows what that means. Could have been CCC or the drivers.

Is anyone receiving this issue after using the fix stated by Craig?

Matt, I am no longer having this issue after using the fix Craig posted.

Thanks Craig.

solution: get an nVidia card ;)

Matt, still getting the issue. Played fine for about 20-30 minutes while it was still light out with no problems... As soon as it was dark however, or when i used the flash light, shit got nuts. I tried the auto detect and it said i was already up to date on graphics drivers. I also installed the latest version of CCC to no avail. Uploading a dxdiag and .RPT in the hopes it will assist you.

@Clipse - Your drivers are dated Nov. 2012 (v8.980). Try downloading/running the following tool and check to see if that gets it.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool

:)

That auto detection tool says the drivers are up to date, which is obviously incorrect apparently... I will continue attempts to manually update.

Clipse let me know how it goes.

Got it working. Had to manually update a driver and couldn't play much yesterday. I did end up in a night server and experienced no artifacts. However, it couldn't update my HDMI sound drivers which was weird. All's well now! I'll report back if something should change.

Same issue, Game crashes after being on for about 30 seconds with this glitch.

Graphics card: AMD Radeon 7700

@MissTwitch

Please upload a dxdiag report

NEW INFO:
I'm playing on the new patch of the experimental branch and now this glitch only happens when flashlights turn on. When the flashlight comes on at first all the buildings go black, however if the flashlight is flickered on and off for a short time the small flickering colored blocks return and my game crashes.

NOTE: Game only seems to crash when i look at the flickering buildings.

Hi guys,

please try updating your drivers to the latest version and see if that fixes anything.

In case your game also crashes, please upload a zip/rar file containing the files found in this folder:

C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\

Thank you!

hey dev's,
i have the same problem with flickering buildings.
More precisely: The shields on the houses of there name, the window borders, door borders and some doors. This happens if i zoom for example with long scope (edit: not zoom in and out. Zoom in and move the mouse). It is in each city.
I hope you can imagine it as it flickers on the picture "flicker_nerobp".
Edit: because i read it from others here: I have an Nvidea, no ATI and all drivers are up to date
