Game always crashes when I click "multiplayer" at main menu.

Description

I receive the following message from my PC:
"The instruction at [...] referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program."

This is followed by the memory crash exit code 0xc0000005. I have attached my report.

Based on the wiki page for this error code, I have:

  1. Updated windows
  2. Updated drivers
  3. Checked integrity of game cache
  4. reinstalled C++ 2013 distributables
  5. additionally, attempted reinstall twice (after 2 and then after 4 above)

In addition, singleplayer has fps between 10-20fps at lowest settings. My computer can run Fallout 4 on ultra, as well as a variety of other new and older games, at 60fps. So it's not my specs that are the issue. For further info, I have attached a dxdiag report as well.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Press play on steam menu
  2. press play on popup launcher
  3. wait for loadup
  4. at main menu, press "play"
  5. press "multiplayer
  6. game crashes. always. One time, I saw a serve list attempt to load, it was blank though. All other times, crash before server list even appears.
Additional Information

At the configure tab in the visual settings, I have 10fps at the main menu on lowest graphics settings. I have 60fps at ultra settings in game on Fallout 4, Planetary Annihilation, Kerbal Space Program, etc.

Adam, your link takes me to a page that is about voting. I would very greatly appreciate something that will assist me in fixing this issue. I spent $30 on this game and I must say, I am not pleased with anything thus far.

This whole customer service interface is extremely frustrating. Adam, PLEASE help me with this issue. A $60 game should not require me to wait a month to fix an out of the box issue. I am not happy about the issue and this wait time is only making that worse, so your attention would be greatly appreciated.
