Did you modify those files? Try verifying the integrity of the game cache.

No i have not modded the files as you can see that is a standed Steam .dll file and yes i have verified the game about 3 times. i tried to delete the files but the then steam just put those files back into the folder.

Hello,
could you please run the blocked file through https://www.virustotal.com/ and send us the link to the result? Also another question is: does the drive where you have the game installed has assigned a drive letter (e.g. C:)?

Hey there, thank you for getting back in contact with this help ticked here.... as you asked here is the link to the resault of the .dll file https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/ed903830e5ea33b74e4f5922bccf5de65a5ea7d61b752a94fe2fdb8d004c09d6/analysis/

also to your other question with my drive yes it does and it is under the D driver pathway, BUT it is either the cable or the port slot that is faulty as witj restarts and power boot ups it will sometimes delete the driver pathway and i will need to REAPLlY the the pathway in the device managment

Hello,
the file itself (Steamclient.dll) is fine and I think that the issue is related to reason why the path in the message starts with a device name instead of a drive letter. I've tried to replicate the same condition as you have but I wasn't successful, my Steam client crashed instead. I have to forward this to BattlEye to find out more and let you know once we hear from them.

The other option that comes to my mind is that your computer doesn't recognize the digital signature of the file. Could you please check the properties of the file, there's a tab Digital Signatures and it should tell you whether the signature is OK or not.

ok so im not really sure what you are meaning by the Digital signature but i was able to find that part of the file and i uploaded screenshots of the file to help you out so we can get the matter sorted.

Hello,
as the dialog says, the signature is OK. Let's see what BattlEye Support tell us about this.

So its been about 2-3 days now and i was wondering if there has been any feed back from BattlEye?

Hello,
we've talked with BattlEye author. But the word is that there is not much they can do, since BattlEye can't access the file in the way it needs to verify that the file has not been tempered with. They suspect it's related to you file system drive.

I was doing some additional research on my own, could you please check drive settings for me?

  1. Open Command Prompt. Type: diskpart
  1. At the DISKPART prompt, type: list volume
  1. Make note of the number of the simple volume whose drive letter is D:.
  1. At the DISKPART prompt, type this and replace n with the number of volume: select volume n
  1. At the DISKPART prompt, type one of the following: detail volume
  1. There will be list of attributes with yes/no values. Which of the are set to yes?

Read-only: NO
Hidden: YES
No default Drive letter: NO
Shadow Copy: NO

Interesting, could you try to repeat change the Hidden attribute for that drive? Repeat the process, but in Step 5 instead of "detail volume" type:

  attributes volume clear hidden

After that do check that the hidden attribute changed to No by typing:

  detail volume

After that try to run the game with BattlEye enable (a restart of the computer might be necessary before that).

omg it worked... thank you i love you, i didnt want to hear the news that i wouldnt be able to play the game ever again... i fucking love you mate, thanks for the help.

Glad to be of help. Enjoy the game.
