I'd like to see an option to turn off automatic updating of mods, which should in addition prevent the launcher from checking for updates.

Main reason for that is, that the current system is slowing down the process of starting the game, because it's checking for updates every single time. Since mods usually do not get updated that often, it's unnecessary.
