Game crash/freeze after loading screens and slightly into game.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

So, I've had an ongoing issue with the game crashing either after loading into campaign, multiplayer, or scenarios. Sometimes it will crash before even entering a server, sometimes it will crash in game, but the same thing continues to happen. I think it may be something to do with vehicles, because 25% of the time the game will load (whether in campaign or multiplayer) and when I get near or in vehicles the game will crash. I have done everything outside of the game possible to fix it as far as updating directX, disabling firewalls, my security programs etc. But none of these seem to be a stable solution. {F26753} {F26754} {F26755}

Hello,
Thank you for reporting the issue.
We need crash dump files from this folder to analyze your problem.
C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
Can you upload somewhere in winrar package, please?
Archive smaller than 5000 KB can be attached directly to the ticket. For bigger archives, please use some free sharing service and post link here.

How to find correct crashdump file:
Try to make the crash happen
Look into crashdump folder
Upload crashdump with latest date in name (crashdump is rpt + bidmp + mdmp file with same name). Please try to provide as many crashdumps as possible, it helps us investigating the problem in a big way.

Thank you.

Got it. I'll throw up a few, two of each type excluding MDMP. There are approximately 10 MDMP crashdumps that are above 5k kb. They range from 9-11k kb.

Nevermind, putting up one of each type.

Alright, they've been uploaded

UPDATE: I was able to play for a good 15 minutes on a server without crashes while being in a helicopter, vehicle, etc. However, after exiting the game in relaunching, the crashes began again. I'm so confused on what this could be.

We have investigated your issue and it seems that the crash is due to custom sound did you install any mods lately or are you using any mods?

I've discovered also what it is and I hope this helps others. I am using an afterglow headset and so it was conflicting with my tv audio. Resolved by putting my afterglow headsets audio wire into the TV rather than the pc. Thank you for helping me.

Hi, TheKing009. I have the Afterglow wireless headsets and I have been getting the "memory could not be read" error. I have spent countless hours trying to fix the problem, from reinstalling my os many times to almost spending 100 dollars for remote assistance. I even went as far as upgrading my RAM from 16 gigs to 32 gigs. After reading this thread, I unplugged the wireless dongle from the USB and hooked up the monitor speakers. Then I tried to reproduce the error and, whala! Problem fixed! So I want to give thanks, I can now finally play the game that I built my machine for. :D

Apparently Arma3 does not like the wireless Afterglows...
