You cannot change the NV mode of your character once you board a helicopter in a cargo position. If you get in with your NV on you can't turn it off, and if you get in with NV off you can't turn it on until you disembark the vehicle.

Steps To Reproduce
Board any helicopter cargo position and try to switch nigh vision on/off pressing 'n'.
