-profiles startup parameter does not work on Linux Server
Assigned, WishlistPublic

Description

The -profiles startup parameter has no effect for the Linux Server. When specifying a custom -profiles path, the effect is that no profile data is saved, and the server typically fails to start altogether (though once in a while it seems to start, but still saves no profile data).

The default path for profile data is extremely cumbersome and unnecessarily buried for a Linux system. I would like to have my profile data stored directly with all of my other server configuration data for ease of access and maintainability.
