Cannot Use Absolute Mouse Emulator
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

All absolute mouse emulators for joystick controllers that I have used cause the infantryman to point to the ground and spin in circles around a single point. For helicopters with cyclic controls mapped to mouse, touching the joystick causes the helicopter to roll to the right and dive to the ground.

Steps To Reproduce

install a mouse emulator for joysticks. Set to absolute mode (many mouse emulators do not have an absolute mode). Map helo cyclic controls to mouse.

Additional Information

The product Pinnacle Game Profiler (PGP) can be tweaked to have its "mouse spring" feature work in Arma3 and Take on Helicopters, but become uncalibrated easily and requires frequent adjustment with a regular mouse. The tweaking is very sensitive. The mouse spring features of both JoyToKey and PGP software work fine in Battlefield4 and other games, but not in Arma3 and TKOH.

Hello,

I'm sorry but we cannot fix emulator issues. It is for the creators of the emulator to add compability for the game.

Thank you.

To rephrase the problem, why is it that absolute mouse emulators cannot be used in Arma3 and TKOH. If no other games present this problem, would it not be reasonable to assume that there is something unique about the way BIStudio handles mouse input?
