Many aircraft mods make it so that you lock onto what your centre screen is rather than having a crosshair. The issue arises when you are looking slightly up or down. When you look up or down the centre of the screen moves up and down but you can't tell the centre. Allowing oneself to always see that white dot center cursor would allow us to always know the centre of the screen.

The F35 in USAF has a good alternative. If the fighter helmet had a hud that could move around in the vehicles with a center cursor it will keep immersion and look hella badass. I'll get screen shots when I can.
