In the current dev branch and in near future, the stance adjust will be abolished.
I use my middle mouse button together with WASD to adjust my stances, but since you can't bind an action to your middle mouse button and something else (e.G. MMB + A), this doesn't work anymore.
I'd love it if you could either...
...bring back the old system or...
...make the middle mouse button bindable with another button

Last I heard is they are un-hardcoding some controls. I dont think it will be gone, only customizable through mods.
I think the only change they are making it so that the movement keys are not the only options for adjust, which I like.
It's already a thing, the feature itself sure won't be abolished but the different stance directions now have unique keys - And you cannot use your middle mouse button in combination with another button.
