VON doesn't work on Debian 7

Description

VON seems to be activated but not be transmitted.
Affected OS, which i and 2-3 people can confirm, is:

root@chaos ~ # cat /etc/issue
Debian GNU/Linux 7 \n \l

root@chaos ~ # cat /proc/version
Linux version 3.2.0-4-amd64 (debian-kernel@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 4.6.3 (Debian 4.6.3-14) ) #1 SMP Debian 3.2.65-1+deb7u1 .

Yes, CFGs are OK & appears in VANILLA. (no, it isnt a port forward / fw issue).
The thing is, it also appears in a KVM ( CHROOT - in case i tried it with
Ubuntu 14.10).

Switching to native Ubuntu 14.10 brought the success.

I too am finding the same thing, and thank god I found this, I have been screwing with this for way too long now.

Dr. Rockso: brought changing OS success Or appears at you in ubuntu 14.10 too? if second is real, check dependencies and config as i cant confirm that. If it appears in Debian too, im happy not to be alone with it and sad for the issue :P so far, wait for update or buy coffee and change os. Gr rick

Yes - ubuntu 14.10 too :-(. May try other distro's. have you tested any others?

What dependencies are you referring to? A3 VON runs on same port as game (2302), configs are fine, cross checked a number of times with similar configs from our windows server.

Drinking that coffee as we speak ;-)

it appeared by me only in debian, ubuntu worked out of the box. Will use my brain and write suggestions later. Maybe others have Ideas .. GL so far ..

I'm getting the same issue on Fedora 22. Works fine on CentOS 6.6
