This nasty behaviour appears again after installing hellicopters DLC:

Make team leader player
Make another team member playable.
In game, order all units to get in one vehicle.
When all of the are aboard, switch to the playable unit
then the IA of the team leader will make all of them to disembark

This problem seems to be solved in previous releases but now it is back .... :(
