Zeroing 1200-1900m is innacurate with all sniper scopes.
New, WishlistPublic

Description

I was playing king of the hill the other day, and someone was exactly 1800m away from me, no elevation at all. I zeroed in at 1800, and my shot ended up 3 MILDOTS BELOW THE TARGET. I was using the M330 LRR .408. I proceeded to go into the editor to test if this was correct.

I noticed that any range between 1200m-1900m was not zeroing correctly, by placing the target further and further away, starting at 100m, until I hit 1900m. I tried this with both the LRPS and the SOS.

Each interval of 100m between 1200m-1900m, the impact of the bullet was completely random.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Go into virtual reality editor.
  1. Make a popup target starting at 100m.
  1. Shoot that with the M330 LRR .408 (SOS and LRPS), testing if it hit where it should.
  1. Continue to do so in intervals of 100m, until you hit 1900m.
  1. You will notice that the zeroing is broken.
Additional Information

Repeat process with the GM6 Lynx.

This will probably be fix when the Marksman DLC gets out. Since they will refine the sniper system.

Unfortunately cannot confirm, tested this just now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVmW95v-ffc

@Killzone_Kid

You did not test out anything under 2000m. Nor did you even follow the procedure I said to take in your video.

I will update my notes. I just realized that it's actually 1200m-1900m that is NOT accurate.

The 2000m zeroing IS ACCURATE.

Same environment as before, 1800: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OU7EksgzAeU

It is slightly off, but hardly 3 mildots off. However I did notice inconsistency in results, I wonder if this is more to do with actual projectile. I really hope it is not some forced random deviation added to the game, I would really hate that.

I'm not on any side of this, but i havent noticed this as well. Maybe it not works great, can be sawed when ai is lying on the ground, and target is small, but it works like it should. Take in account round deflection and other factors that have impact on round trajectory. You didnt sayed that you are using some mod... AGM?
