Description

The AI forces a player to eject from a vehicle that cannot move anymore. Working as expected and useful for missions but sometimes with annoying consequences and it obviously take away control from the player.

When a vehicle is traveling at a high velocity, then crashes into an obstacle and the impact does not kill the occupants, the resulting forced eject while the vehicle is still moving sure will. {F25448}

Steps To Reproduce

In the repro mission:

  • accelerate with the offroad (armed) to around 150 km/h and crash it into a street sign (there's one marked with a helper circle down the road)
  • the resulting crash will render the vehicle inoperable (destroyed wheels, engine failure) but the vehicle will continue to roll
  • the AI leader (gunner) will issue the "eject" command, the player is forced out of the moving car and he will die instantly
  • notice that it is not the impact that kills the player, as he would remain inside the vehicle (the injuries are usually minor and below 25 %)
  • reload the mission and switch to the civilian offroad, proceed to crash it in the same way and compare the results
