Description

I am new to ArmA, still haven't managed to play online.

So I load up server list no problem and my ping is low. I try and connect to a server, I get a picture of the map and sometimes a loading bar, then after about 5-10secs it kicks me back to the server list with no message. Now all my ping has doubled, now if i try to connect to again it will kick me out in 3-5 secs and my ping will double again. If i do this 3 or 4 times then minimize and load up my browser my internet will be really slow. As soon as i exit ArmA my internet is back to normal.

Things ive tried:

changed some setting in steam (not sure what - i think it limits the amount of the pings the servers send - changed from 5000 to 1000 then to 250 with no change)

Connect to servers from steam server list - took a little longer to kick me back to server list.

Will try a full re-install later although i don't think this will help.

Never do a reinstall, click the game in Steam->Right click Game->Properties->Local files->Verify integrity of game cache.

Try disabling your firewall and see if it works.

I Verified integrity of game cache. Problem still persists. Any more suggestions would be appreciated

The same thing is going on with me. Wish I could help you, but I cant even help myself. :(

I believe the issue is router related, however my isp is refusing to send me a new one atm. Will be taking my rig to a friends house in a couple of days to see if it works on his connection, will report back :)
