Dear developers.
Teach the AI to shoot from buildings (Windows, doors, second floor)
Today (v1.36) the AI does not able to do it!
It looks strange, silly and not realistic, because the soldiers always uses shelter for firing during the war.
It would be great additions for future DLC marksman!

You can create a Snap-positions for AI at each potential point (at the all windows, at the all doors)
After that, to teach the AI to use them(under certain conditions)

It would be a great idea: buildings are still not used properly by AI. They are not considered like very useful places where cover into, shooting through windows or doors.

I'm not really sure about this one. You would like the infantry to recognize buildings and move into them for fire positions?

I use a script to place infantry in building positions where they will fire out of the windows. These positions are snap positions that each building already has. I'm happy with this, although it is a limitation that they have to placed there by the mission planner.

only under certain conditions. For example, if the AI in defence and in the minority.

I think the AI should do it yourself, without additional scripting.
But again, only under certain conditions.

I just placed AI in a building too, they fire from windows. They do it by themselves. If I command them to as a squad leader, they do it.

I always use AI with 100% skill.
Never seen the AI took a position at the window and shot him!

How can be commanded to do it?

If you use a snap-position, and order AI to move there, they'll fire out the window once they see enemies.

at windows/doors such positions are almost no.

They will fire out the windows of buildings if you use the building positions that are already ingame. No need to create additional memory points in the models when these things already exist. Only thing BI needs to really do is teach them how to get into the building and where to look after they reach the position they want to be at (e.g at the nearest doorway leading outside, out a window). Currently it's possible with scripting but it would be nice to have them do it on the fly.

Inside buildings not every window has such a position!
At the doors of such positions no to all!
BIS need to resolve this issue fully.

I am sorry but there's no additional work on the current Altis structures planned.

There are already several tickets on the FT regarding autonomous AI use of buildings.
