Low velocity bullets (9mm .45ACP) ricochet too much indoors
Reviewed, WishlistPublic

Description

When firing with SMG's or pistols, the bullet can often ricochet 5 times, or even more when firing indoors. The bullet will bounce off the walls, and cause an audible bullet hit, also accompanied by a puff of smoke. This even happens after multiple bounces where the bullet shouldn't have any energy left.

This effect becomes even more dramatic with JSRS and Blastcore installed. I have uploaded a video of this issue here:

And here is another example with tracer rounds:

Additional Information

This issue does not always occur with rifles that have calibre 5.56 or above, due to bullet penetration. Sometimes they will penetrate, but sometimes they will bounce off and have the same issue.

I've tried it. Agree, we have a strange, multiple ricochet. This is impossible in real life.

This is really bad... Even my friend was freaking out.

Confirmed in stable 1.36.128579.

Attached a picture (<i>bouncy.jpg</i>) which displays the bullet trajectory. In addition to what seems like way too many ricochets to me, the bullets will sometimes ricochet under some extreme angles as well (<i>180.jpg</i>).

In development 1.37.128722 the problem is also present but much less so. Mainly it looks like the extreme angle ricochets are actually not present so it is more difficult to get a "good" bounce sequence going.
