showOnRadar-command to stop AI from shooting at hidden units and more
New, WishlistPublic

Description

It would be nice to have a command (showOnRadar true/ false) that can hide units from the radar!

At the moment when you hide a unit with hideObject or a hide-module, enemy AI with radar will still detect the hidden units and fire at their position, which can be tricky when the AI is a fast mover that easily covers large areas of the map, or an AA-unit (with someday hopefully extended range ;) ) that has to be destroyed before air support appears.

It can also break the immersion when players have an aircraft available and you don't want to or can use restricted zones: Since you cannot control where they will fly around, hiding objects is not an option at all in those missions.

Plus (!) you could create all new scenarios, where you have to interrupt or disable the enemy radar, allowing you to safely move through or into guarded territory!

So it would be great to have a
-showOnRadar
and
-showOnRadarGlobal-command,
which should also be included to the hide-module as a standard.

hide-command is not supposed to hide units from the radar + suggestion from oukej to add this as a separate command:

Amen to this. I would prefer a setting in realism settings to turn the damn thing off altogether.
