When trying to reverse, AI is extremely hesitant to reverse and sometimes instead starts to turn around in the spot or even drives forward.
Backwards means backwards. Press and hold down S. The AI should -not- try anything fancy when lives are at stake. {F23564}

Place vehicle anywhere on map, close or far from obstacles, and order to reverse. Especially tracked vehicles will have problems. The problems get worse the closer objects are and the more cluttered these objects are.
