Very improper fixed wing aircraft Ejection in Arma 3 (partially fixed)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

As you have noticed, when you eject from a fixed wing aircraft in Arma 3, you just appear near the jet with the parachute like you are doing HALO....
This is so wrong, and I can say why! When your jet is on low altitude its impossible to eject and survive!!!
You should be ejected with the seat, which shoots out of the jet upwards (usually with help of a black powder charge or an inbuilt reaction engine), making it enough altitude for a safe parachute landing!

I can assure you, the guy who ejected in this video is alive and completely unharmed.

also, don't forget that canopy should also shoot off completely!

Get in the jet, switch to 3rd person view, take off, Eject from the plane!

Additional Information

Nowadays it's a standard for every supersonic military jet to have ejectable seats! (Otherwise it's a jet for corn pollination) Regarding L-159, look on a picture http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/12/CIAF_2009_Alca_L-159_2.jpg [^]
Do you see that beige colored block behind the seat? This tells us that the seat is ejectable!

Edit:
This was partially fixed, at least pilot is being thrown up after ejection, giving him a safe landing altitude. Watch current state of this issue --> http://youtu.be/wvL4MgR719Q

The next step is getting rid of halo and simulate real electable seats with deployable parachute.

This would be sweet :D it would substantially improve jet gameplay.

Does the L-159 have ejection seats in real life?
