Some useful squad radio communications do not create subtitles
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Most radio communications create a radio subtitle in the lower left of the screen. Some chatter type communications ("Cover Me!" etc) do not create subtitles (or use the radio) and this is fine.

However there are some useful radio comms that do not produce subtitles:

  • Ready/Done - reported by AI when they finish assigned task. Subtitles required to identify who is ready, especially if task takes a long time, such as ordering AI to move to distant location.

This is especially relevant when the units are speaking in a language the player does not understand (eg CSAT speaking Farsi)

No change in dev build 1.45.130624.
This functional feature was removed sometime since Arma 2 OA.

Alternatively, units could identify themselves when reporting they are ready (audio only). Eg: "Two, ready"

Issue persists in dev build 1.63.137926.
Please at least provide option to enable complete subtitles.
