v1.03 dev, crash tbb4malloc_bi.dll when loading Savegame
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I'm on v1.03 dev and when I am loading the next day (!) a savegame from Scenario i.e.

"Dynamic Universal War System"

Mission [sp%2fmp]dynamic%20universal%20war%20system.altis

I get always crash tbb4malloc_bi.dll.

This does not happen while I am playing and saving / loading multiple times, it only occurs the next day (so was exiting Arma) and try to continue.

I even started a complete new game and the same happened again.

Thanks to the Community Wiki (http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA_2:_Custom_Memory_Allocator)

I was able to try different Memory Allocators (tbb3malloc_bi.dll crashed), and onw was able to at least show in Game Picture then freezing (I think it was JEMalloc_bi) and yet antoher is working fine again without crashing:
-malloc=NedMalloc_bi

Unable to reproduce, do you have still this issue? I tried both versions, stable and development.

I can confirm, evewn after the Dev-Update today, the issue still exists.

I still have a savegame + the generated mission, this one I was loading in the editor, and after starting the mission, I had to recopy the files over in the directory, because it erases all files wehn starting a new mission.

Then load the last autosave and CRASH.
And try the other memory allocators, too.

Sorry, I had to pack the files 3 times, 1. because it was larger than the allowed MB, than again every part as .001 filetype is not allowed.

Do you have same issues in showcases or only in this scenario mission?

I have the same issue in the same scenario but different generated mission.

I don't remeber if I had the same issue with this dll in other scenarios.

But I had other crashes, with removed dx-device, but that I fixed with higher voltage.

For your information: I reported a new reproducable crash in another mission
