Run Process Monitor to see what files arma3.exe uses.
Try to write a custom initDisplay.sqf file and see what can do.

Additional Information

Searching Google for "initDisplay.sqf" reports three tickets here and a "CheatEngine".

I don't quite understand what's the issue. Please provide exact repro steps and your view of expected behavior.

Did a repro right now. Only got this:

Root "scripts" folder no longer supported, 'scripts\A3\ui_f\scripts\initDisplay.sqf' ignored
