When opening the map in an air vehicle, the player stays at the point in space where he opened the map - that is, soundwise. The helicopter is heard flying away in the distance until one closes the map again.

Tried in pilot seat and gunner/copilot seat on several helicopters in mission editor. Results were all the same, also in optics mode when in gunner.
Sound is directional, meaning that if you start looking at the map when looking left of you, the helicopter sound will fade on your right ear and vice versa.
Experienced this in both Beta and after I stepped to the development version.
