AI drivers often fail to avoid and become stuck on objects
New, WishlistPublic

Description

AI drivers often become "stuck" on objects whilst driving around, most commonly when turning onto a side road with a wall or power pole close to the corner of the intersection. The driver will then drive into the object for about a minute, then reverse a short distance and try to move forward again, usually resulting in ramming back into the object it was initially stuck on and becoming immobile again.

Steps To Reproduce

Set a AI driver (tested in Ifrit) a path along roads with intersections that contain nearby walls, trees, poles, etc, and observe.

Additional Information

Suggest dramatically decreasing the between reverse and reattempt cycles by driver when immobile, as well as increasing the distance reversed and new angle attempted, and generally improving obstacle detection.
