When in game, and hitting escape to go to menus.
Visual Stereographic effect exaggerated on left/right of screen space can head to headaches/nausea.

Close proximity to objects gives enhanced effects, when witnessed behind menu areas menus become hard to read for some users.

Open Editor or Scenario - Start with or without units/objects placed.
Play, Once in 3D Enviroment - Hit Escape and watch background/Edge of Screen space.

Also, I'm not sure if it's mission related but, when I joined a multiplayer server the effects were present even when un-paused. I left and rejoined and the effects were gone.
