Vehicles do not spontaneously explode when they are shot up unless they are carrying explosive materials or theres a fire around the fuel tank which causes a BLEVE, I know explosions are cool and all but it takes away a real life tactical advantage of having a vehicle that provides a certain amount cover, instead you have to run away from it because it turns into a bomb after a certain number of bullets hitting it.
