The scope glass is unbearably dirty. Even knockoff Chinese optics are more clear than this. It's not realistic to expect that any member of the military would actually employ such poor quality optics. At least provide quality on par with the cheapest Barska and Tasco scopes. {F21387} {F21388} {F21389} {F21390} {F21391}

Event Timeline
The glass in the game is dirty and appears covered with debris. What additional information do you need? Would you like images looking through real optics to compare with the images from the game?
I've uploaded an image from a real scope (ACOG) and one of the Arma scopes (RCO). There is a drastic difference in glass quality.
The airsoft knockoff Elcan replica is much brighter with very little light loss and reflection. We should expect $1000 + optics to perform even better.
Wording should probably be changed, the glass really isn't that dirty, a few specks here and there, the glass has way too much reflection and wash out. These would never be accepted as optics, way too much reflection in the lens, I've never used a real scope that's had that much reflection and glare.
I have a C-More on my AR-15 and even after 3 full days of a carbine course (1500 rounds fired and rolling in the dirt and mud with a helping of dust and sand) the optic was not as hard to look through as these. The problem is the dirt and dust showing on the optics is in the wrong focal plane so you see clear dust particles when in reality you would see some blurring or darkness, not a clearly defined dust particle or speck.
The reflection and washout as noted above is another problem. For long range optics, the Nikon Monarch X I used on my long rifle is actually more clear than anything I have seen in a game, ever, and it is a low end optic by comparison to the nicer military grade ones. It will amplify light in dawn and dusk conditions, whereas the optics in game will turn everything black. Remember, the objective lens is gathering more light than your eye would normally get, so it can actually increase light transmission for certain situations.
I can take some pics through both optics for more clarity. I can even 'dust up' the C-more to explain the focal planes better if that would help.
Look at the red dot optic I mentionned in my first post. THAT sight is really dirty.
YOu can barely distinguish enemys at night because all you see is debris.
Gets to ridiculous levels. See screenshot:

Basically, the optics become non-transparent - and look like cheap plastic instead of glass. Needs fix ASAP.
Lol, darkwanderer, that glass is more like the bad quality swimming goggle kids use after a few minutes underwanter.
Is that how BIS thinks a military optic sights work? if that's how they will work in 2035 no doubt they will use LMG with iron sights and riflemans with the red dot.
