Steps To Reproduce
  1. Hop into Blackfoot, which can be placed anywhere on the map (I suggest "Flying" and Elevation 1000). Use enough fog to hide scenery or lower visible distance.
  1. While looking at the side of canopy, bank left or right.
Additional Information

I didn't try this in other helicopter, but I think it is safe to assume this issue will appear on all side windows.

A similar issue occurs when you look at your co-pilot's visor in an mh-9. You could be flying out to sea but their visor shows terrain and grass.

This is less of a bug and more of a design limitation. You will see this on virtually every reflective surface, regardless of location it will always have the same environment.

This is because it is not reflecting the environment itself but rather a reflection map http://blog.hvidtfeldts.net/media/reflect.jpg tailored to the unit..it is one of the least processing heavy methods but it does have the drawback that it doesn't always reflect everything correctly.

NodUnit explained it well.

It is impossible with the current hardware generation to expect real reflections at every surface.

The used reflection map delievers great visuals and the reflection you showed is not game hindering.

Thus there should be no change.

I understand that current hardware is not capable of reflecting real scenery, this has been discuses quite a lot in other reports, especially with helmet visors, therefore I'm not asking for such a thing.

I've got some ideas how to fix this and I should have put them here right after creating this report.

  1. Turn off this reflection or at least have an option for turning it off.
  2. Make this reflection transparent according to light conditions or current visibility (e.g. when you're in fog/clouds and you can't see anything but fog/clouds, then make this reflection map 100% transparent)

Also.. shouldn't we be able to see pilot's reflection?

Mass closing ancient tickets with no activity for > 12 months; assume fixed or too trivial.

If this issue is still relevant in current dev build, please re-post.
