Do you want brand new retextured maps? If not, you can import the maps from OFP using the All in Arma mod.

As an purchasable DLC I'd probably buy it, but only if it meant that all profits made from current game sales were directed to developing Arma 3 and it's own islands. There's quite a bit of conversion work to be done for the island which costs money, so it's quite reasonable to expect to pay for it.

not every mod can be BIS quality and BIS cant make so many mods, its the eternal problem with mostly games that require you to pay for addons (mostly flight simulators, like MSFS X, or IL 2 sturmovik) but its just how the game industry works

Not to mention the game isn't even released yet.
