I have only tried this with the UH-80 Ghosthawk and Camo variant but when you walk up to the left side of the helicopter and select ride in back the right door on the other side of the helicopter opens and then you get in, getting out you exit through only the ride side of the helicopter. I think you should exit through whatever door is open and enter through the open door, or the door closest should open.
