When I type something in the chat box, it doesn't appear on my screen. Testing with another friend in my private server [because I magically crash when playing on a public multiplayer server], I have found that he *can* see my chat on his screen, however I cannot.
This was after I had edited the HUD layout. Maybe it has something to do with it?
Theory(?):
open Layout in GAME SETTINGS
right click Chat box [it disappears]
do anything or nothing in multiplayer server(restart)
attempt to chat in server
I would recommend that you don't actually try it because I haven't found a solution.
I'm not sure what happened because I was able to see text chat just fine beforehand.
Nevermind, I found the problem; the "Stream Friendly UI" setting in the Game options was blocking text chat.
Mass closing ancient tickets with no activity for > 12 months; assume fixed or too trivial.
If this issue is still relevant in current dev build, please re-post.
