exaggerated blood effects

Description

When shooting with big calibres (tested with 40mm CTWS Cannon APFSDS-T Ammo) at Units an exaggerated particle effect is spawned (big cloud of blood)...

it's a nice idea (looks good with small calibre and middle (.50 cal)) but with the bigger calibres it just looks rediculous and completely destroys immersion {F20276} {F20277}

place some MAN units in the editor and choose a vehicle with a big gun. Preview the mission, target at the units and fire ;-)

Personally, I think it looks just fine. Whenever somebody is hit with a large enough projectile, it will cause serious damage. If anything, there should be some blood effects on the ground, though. That much blood being thrown up into the air and disappearing seems odd.

yeah... i like those effects aswell, but the way the blood is spreading just looks stupid

Think it needs to be toned down slightly. The "splash" effect from an APC where the passengers get hit is very over the top. Maybe half way between this and the current .50 cal effect? Bit more "Pink Mist" look?

Mass closing ancient tickets with no activity for > 12 months; assume fixed or too trivial.
