Additional Information

Other similar and more interesting feature requests, but requiring likely more effort from coders are the following:

Bug #1510, "Suggestion to add Moveable searchlights to choppers and vehicles"
Bug #7502, "Could use a so called "targeting pod" for aircraft"

(This "Copilot cannot see radar" could maybe be easily and quickly implemented.)

Also, sometimes when the gunner seat is occupied, the pilot cannot see (active) radar items.

This issue has likely been worked on since and might be fixed. (Needs verification.)

Per Bug #568 "No direction indicator for gunner positions while in Ifrit, Hunter, Strider, Attack boats, or Wheeled APC." the gunner positions now also have radar.

Co-pilots can now also see radar, and it's a true joy to be able to provide some help for the pilot piloting the aircraft!

Something else which maybe easily done or not, is to allow the co-pilot edit the Shifted Mouse Click way points from the pilot. Another possible idea, allowing the users to create multiple colored Shifted Mouse Click way points, for example one color denoting the (preferred) landing zone(s) and another color denoting the area of operations. Think these later suggests might be more intricate though, require some thought.

I think this bug can be marked closed, as long as all co-pilots seats within all vehicles can see the radar. (I've only verified a few helicopters, such as the WY-55)

Should also note, some scripts (ie. TF1776 maps) incorporate lift scripts allowing the Co-pilot to activate Heavy Lifting as long as they're also within the Engineer class! (A little unknown fact that neither I initially realized!)
