Description

SOS cannot be attached to sniper rifles; when trying to attach by drag and drop method, the optic sight hard-point stays red.

I have also tried initialising the sniper rifles to spawn on player and in cargo with the SOS attached, but the rifle spawns without the SOS.

Can spawn with SOS and rifle separate in inventory, however the SOS can still not be attached.

This is a known issue with mods that override the weapon attachment system, for example when adding new custom attachments. You need to disable those mods and find new versions that fix the problem.

Closing ticket, since this problem is caused by 3rd party content.
