I was using the sniper class at night on a mission I was making in the editor. While using night vision, if you look through a scope, its pitch black. I did not try this with any other class/scope so I am unsure if it is just a sniper scope issue, or if it is intentional.

Load up a sniper in the editor and set the time to 23. Equip night vision and look through the scope.
Event Timeline
None of the magnified scopes work with nightvision, hence what you saw, ALTHOUGH the collimators (both the standalone ones and the ones built into the ARCO and RCO) and iron sights (including the one built into the SOS) both work with nightvision.
A 2011 promotional image showed a separate, dedicated nightvision scope, so maybe that will come by in beta? :)
There are I think two NV scopes mentioned in the files you can look at inside the alpha, a normal low light scope, and a thermal scope. But both of these seem to be made for Assault rifle type applications, not sniper rifles (like the NV scope on the M110 in Operation Arrowhead, for example.)
you are a moron, i am usually not this much negative, but the fact that you didn't knew this was intentional and that this was like this EVEN in OFP and ArmA 1 makes me say that.
You are a moron.
Wow, a moron, how old are you. excuse me if I am not some die hard Arma fan you douche bag. You want to criticize people go somewhere else and do it. If I knew that obviously I would not have posted this you self centered little child.
i am old enough, i dont criticize people, you dont need to be a die hard arma fan, actually, you just need to have played even a demo for any arma, or even done your own research about the NVG (like, for example, in real life they cant be used underwater or when raining, and they wont work when sand storm)
This is by design, not a bug.
There is already a feature request to have this changed.
