the plate carriers and vests that are on the bluefor soldiers have ammo pouches that have 5.56x45mm 30 round stanag magazines in them although the MX family of rifles used by bluefor take 6.5mm camouflaged magazines. Just a minor detail that if fixed would add more authenticity. Unless of course all the bluefor soldiers carry around extra ammo for the divers' 5.56 SDAR :) {F19714}

place a bluefor soldier (most noticeable on the carrier GL)
look at vest
observe 5.56 30-round stanag magazines.

or the TAVOR, wich also uses 5.56, but yes, even though this is a small visual detail, it would be nice for most of your clothes to be dynamic depending on your equipment (pistols, gear like compass or maps, binoculars, just like the NVG, wich is always on top of your head)
oh BTW, "place a bluefor soldier (most noticeable on the carrier GL)
look at vest
observe M16 magazines."
these 30 rounds OTAN mags are not M16 only, they are used in the M4, all of the AR-15, SR-25, M27, MAYBE Tar-21, etc.
and (sorry for triple-posting) forgot to add the L85 (with A-variants) and the L-86, etc.
I agree, it would be nice if pouches on a player's vest would fill with proxy models of the magazines in their inventory (same with pistol holsters), but that would mostly be eye candy. To get around this kind of 'issue,' an alternative method would be to simply place a pouch cover over the slot so no specific magazine type is visible.
I find this grating as well.
I´d love for the blufor soldiers to have the appropriate pouches to fit the new 6.5 CA stanag magazines.
However, there´s more inconsistencies like this throughout the game, for example the supposedly 6.5 caseless chambered Katiba feeds from 20 round stanag magazines, that have brass rounds physically modelled inside of them, and the bolt is also identical to the 5.56 AR-15 type bolt assembly the weapon is derived from. I am not sure it would work that way.
It should be changed so that the magazine model in the pouch matches the magazines you are carrying. For example, if you are out of ammo, there should be no magazine in the pouch.
Good point, would be nice if the vests could display what you really have in your inventory, bit of a long shot though.
Also soldiers dont throw away mags once there empty they put them back in their pouches (QM would get pretty pissed if you kept throwing mags away).
