Steps To Reproduce
- Open editor, place the player as BLUFOR > Men > Rifleman, preview
- Equip the P07 pistol
- Open debug console, enter "setAccTime 0.1" and execute
- Fire the pistol, notice the vertical recoil animation
- Go back to the editor, place the player as OPFOR > Men > Rifleman, preview
- Equip the Rook 40 pistol
- Open debug console, enter "setAccTime 0.1" and execute
- Fire the pistol, notice that the vertical recoil doesn't seem to exist
Additional Information
The recoil animation of P07, while so fast and subtle I had to setAccTime to make sure I wasn't seeing things, seems to add so much to the "feel" of the gun.
I can honestly say that I enjoy using P07 more than Rook 40 due to this, as Rook 40 feels like all the pistols in previous Arma games, a lifeless asset that seems to shoot bullets.
I suggest applying this recoil animation to Rook 40 and any additional pistols present. While I have no clue if this actually happens with all pistols in reality, or at all, it seems to add more feedback into the violent action of firing, thus giving it a bit more life.
