Basically my idea is to improve upon or update the current XML, currently in game the XML provides information on Name, Email, IM, Remark and then underneath that it provides Clan/Community Name, Title, Website and Email.

There are 2 steps for the XML, which are updating and improvement.

Update:

Clickable URL:

Currently there are several aspects of the XML that need updating, first is the ability to click on the clan/community website, and be taken either via the steam web browser or automatic startup of outside browser to take you to the URL clicked.

Title and Name Update:

In the image provided I have also taken the liberty of putting the Title and Name as the same, both are of the same meaning, maybe we could change this to a Description area with a description title.

Design Update:

There are several rather ugly factors about the current design, the first being that the Clan/Community information unlike the Personal Information has no titles, which leads to irregularities.

Also the clan image should be in the top right hand corner, not sitting under the text, a final design issue is the fact that the nick is pushed right at the top left and squashed into place with no space between the border.

Improvement:

The next piece is on improving the XML, most of these aren't validated as to being implementable.

Steam/XML link:

The most crucial aspect of Arma 3 is the implementation of steam as a distributor, I think we can go one step further with the implementation of steam groups and profiles, this should be a chooseable option as most people are a part of multiple groups.

This could appear in the place of the XML if the user has not specified one, or underneath the XML.

To lighten the load on the server this could even be a clickable link which opens up the steam menu ingame.

XML Ranks:

It would be nice to have Ranks in the XML, which have an image and actually show up on the soldiers sleeve or chest, the ability to create the ranks would also be good so that we aren't set at one type of rank structure.

XML Whitelist:

This should be up to server admins, if a server admin doesn't want certain XML's showing up they should be allowed to control that, the reason being that they may only want their XML showing up on the server or the XML may contain nudity or a URL leading to porn sites etc.

Well please provide your thoughts.

And even if you disagree with some of the ideas we do need an XML update/improvement as its not been looked at for a while.
