So when you are zooming into the optics when on top of the water, the screen zooms down into the optics/water so the you see a blueish grayish tint that makes it very hard to see. I am not using the x/c key to get on top of the water, but I think you shouldn't have those keys, because you can get up/down without those keys. {F19209}
