ArmA 3 error message "ArmA 3 Alpha has stopped working" received upon launch
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I basically get this message (http://gyazo.com/6a4c9c20f48d6985c3818d72efcf72c1) every time I launch the Alpha and I'm starting to panic. I can't even get to the main menu without being intercepted by a large black screen that lasts less than five seconds before said error message. Troubleshooting through the forums, I've tried as suggested:

opting for Dev on Steam
disabling all firewalls
I don't own ZoneAlarm and I tried disabling Xfire for all intents and purposes >"-nobenchmark" and "-nosplash" codes
compatibility modes for:

Windows XP (all service packs)
Windows Vista (all service packs)
Windows 7

running as administrator
windowed

Still no luck.

I don't know what to do. My system specs, according to the System Requirements Lab web service, surpass the recommended and minimal requirements. System specs are as follows:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 Six-Core Processor
Processing Speed: 3.5 GHz
RAM: 32 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows 8 (build 9200), 64-bit
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
Sound Card: Realtek High Definition Audio
Free space: 737.6 GB

I'd like to thank you very much for your consideration in advance and submit my condolences, as well. I'd really like to see the Alpha and report issues to contribute to the development of ArmA 3, but first I'd have to get to playing it, right?

I have this most of the time, but I waited for a couple of seconds or ALT - TABBED and it works perfectly fine.

Tried that solution a few times, to no avail. Any other ideas?

Nope, sorry that's the only thing that worked for me.

It's resolved. I deleted a few things that interfere with gaming and the like and the game runs beautifully.
