Game/driver crashing when I enter in the main menu
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I downloaded ArmA Alpha, I ran it as admin and everything. Then. After it initializes it has a black screen then goes back to the desktop and a pop up comes up saying :

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"

And sometimes this error popup : "DX11 error : Create texture failed :DXGI_ERROR_REMOVED"

I tried :
add -nobenchmark
update drivers
update bios
reinstalling the game

My config :
i5 2500k
HD 6870
8 gb ram
{F19042} {F19043}

I tried in to start the game in a window, and there is some strange graphics bug like this one : http://www.noelshack.com/2013-17-1367085940-arma-3.png

Few minutes later or when i try to play in solo, after the loading, the game crashes. It seems like my pc can't load any texture of the game, and we can see these strange "squared" artefact...

I can't play since the beginning of the beta...

  1. Can you try please clean install of latest graphic and sound drivers? Usage of drivers cleaner before installing new drivers will make sure you have no corrupted drivers left on computer.
  2. Can you try please install latest DirectX runtime (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35)
  3. When you have hardware overclock, please try go back to default values.
  4. When you use speed fan software, so try set to default values.

Do you have same issue in other DX11 games?

It's still crashing and did the followin steps :

  1. I just did a clean install of my latest graphic driver using driver sweeper

2)I tried to run DirectX runtime
3)I don't overclock
4)I don't use speed fan software

Lastly, Battlefield 3 is running fine, and i just tried a Direct X 11 Benchmark and it seems fine.

You have HD 6870, but this error is about integrated graphic card in CPU...

Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7 (R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered!

Do you use Virtu or similar program for switch between integrated graphic card and clasic graphic card?

In fact, i took the beginning of my problem on an other issue, I just have the "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error.

(I just modified the description)

Do you have still this issue?

Well, i just tried it, and it seems to work like 10-20 minutes, and then i get a D3D error - DXGI_ERROR_REMOVED
