Unable to give a move order to a team
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Sorry my english s**ks !

I don't think it's a bug. I guess the function has not been implemented.

You can't give a deplacement order with the spacebar, or by clicking on the map, to a group of AI you assigned to a team (red, yellow, green...). Instead, you have to select the AI with F1, F2, F3.... and you have acess to the quick command menu.

So there is almost no benefit to assigne a AI to a color.

Category
AI Control / Commanding
Steps To Reproduce

1 . Assign AI team members (for instance F3, F4 and F5) to specific color (let's say RED)

  1. Select the team RED (tape something like 991)
  1. You are now force tu use command menu, and you can't make them move with the spacebar to a specific location. You can't point the map neither.

If you select F3, F4 and F5 individually, you have now access to the quick command menu to move your team where you want.

Keep on the good work :) !!

Have you tried using shift+f1, shift+f2 etc. for selecting teams with assigned colours? Dont realy understand whats the issue, sorry. Try using shift+f1 - selects the first assigned coloured team, shift+f2 the second one and so forth.

Thank you KardasLT !! I always used to select the team by the command menu (ie, typing 9-9-1 for team RED...). i was unaware you can select a team by pressing Shift F1, shift+f2 etc. it's much more convenient !

Well... Close the thread lol...

The strange top level command menu (1. Move, 2. Target, ...) presented when you do select a group using the command menu is quite inconsistent and IMHO is a bug. I don't know how to get the command menu to the same state after selecting units via another method.

Whatever the means used to select units, the command menu should behave in the same consistent manner.
