MadDogX, please dont close this one. I saw 0003435, and it is more related than it is a duplicate, the goal and principle is different. That ticket is for climbing up obstacles higher than waist hight, mine is quicker action to get over obstacles with less vaulnrability. Please add relation, as its not a dupe.
Thanks.
Simple request to add an additional animation (or two) for getting over obstacles and walls, at a much more faster pace, and less vaulnrable way. This is not implying random jumping aka bunnyhopping, so they bunnyhoppingphobics can be at ease =) This is meant as an alternative to http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=5241 [^] but is NOT A DUPLICATE. This is not a request for jumping. But alternative animations for getting over.
Current step over animation is too risky, especially in the heat of action. stepping over animation leaves the player too exposed by standing up right, and rather slowly steps over the obstacle. This issue is about as bad as the rifle sling over the shoulder, and really needs an update.
When walking or jogging:
The current step over animation can remain in place when walking or jogging, and getting over an obstacle.
When sprinting:
When sprinting, the combination of Shift+V (as default) should use a "get over" animation that should resemble something like the attached picture. A quick vault using one arm to support body weight when jumping over the wall, to get over the wall quickly and continue sprinting.
Tactical move:
This one can be used in two ways I suppose, whichever is easist to impliment, I think both make sense, but anyone is welcome to add any additional suggestions. I will update accordingly.
When in tactical pace (pressing "C" and raising weapon while moving) then use step over action default being "V", perhaps then the character will roll over the obstacle/wall very low, as if hugging the obstacle/wall. (seeing as they are trying to be tactical about it). it would make sense to keep the character as low as possible.
or
When pressing adjust key with step over (lft ctrl+V) then perhaps the character will roll over the obstacle/wall very low, as if hugging the obstacle/wall. {F18933}
