This problem is viable for the wasteland missions on the newest development version. I haven't tried other missions yet.

You probably allready know that we have since Alpha release had an issue with looting weapons. The problem has been that you can't loot weapons and certain items directly into your inventory. You have always had to move the item you wished to loot to the ground and from the ground back in your inventory. Really annyoing process!

Anyhow, with the latest development version the game crashes when looting items from the ground.

This has rendered the game impossible to play, atleast for me, since I only like to play wasteland.

I've tried moving items to the ground and then picking em up from the ground in the same process.
I've also tried to put items on the ground, moved away from (ie. closed the inventory window). Moved up the the item that lays on the ground and scrolled on the item and used the 'Take <insert item>' button. That also made the game crash.
